“I sincerely believe it’s because I come from the Maritimes”, was Bob Kelly’s response when asked how he is able to have coffee with Prime Ministers in the morning, meet with other captains of industry at lunch, and host Town Hall chats with hundreds of staff later in the afternoon. The question was actually “how is it that you can remain so down to earth while running a global corporation?” After all he is head of The Bank of New York Mellon with 45,000 employees and $23 trillion under management and administration. The Provincial Autism Centre is perhaps the biggest winner of the night, but so was everyone who grabbed a club and had a blast at the Cunard Centre. This year’s event was themed “Around the world in 18 holes”, featured an 18-hole mini-golf course and driving range, and took people on a virtual tour of 18 countries (without the jet-lag). Entertainment was provided by 15 year-old jazz phenom Matt Savage, who was diagnosed with autism at age three. Trampoline is proud to have been a Gold Tee Sponsor for this incredible event.
Trampoline is happy to announce that Brad Dykema has re-joined their team as Creative Director. The 10th annual Manulife Dragon Boat Festival may have raised over $140,000 for Nova Scotia Amature Sport Fund (putting them over the $1 million dollar mark), but we still can’t get over our own personal greatness. Under a hot July sun at Lake Banook, close to seventy teams pulled out their A-game. But for some, it just wasn’t enough—trampoline’s team Go Ego captured the Communications Cup and posted one of the fastest times of the day. The Sport Fund was created to help increase participation in sport throughout Nova Scotia, and we were a proud (too proud?) supporter.
Trampoline was proud to have picked up a silver and two merits on the evening of September 7th at the region's annual celebration of advertising and design excellence. The work that was recognized included posters created to promote band 'The Blank Stares', a Christmas Card for McInnes Cooper reflecting its commitment to the Red Cross, and the unique use of a urinal for ALC's Pro Line Sports Game.
This afternoon, Saint Mary’s launched SMUtube, a video-based microsite that offers a dynamic look at student life at the south end campus in Halifax, NS. While the University’s official website continues to serve as a primary source of key information for all audiences, SMUtube provides prospective students with a personalized virtual experience that both informs and entertains.
