The 2nd Annual Autism Golf Ball raises $86,000 for the Provincial Autism Centre.

October 2006

The 2nd Annual Autism Golf Ball, a fun-filled, golf-themed evening for golfers and non-golfers alike was, by all accounts, a huge success once again. With a movie theme, a thought provoking keynote address was delivered by Rain Man's Oscar-winning writer and advocate for persons with disabilities, Barry Morrow. The unique evening format featured the wildest 18-hole indoor mini-golf course you'll ever see, gourmet food selections, prizes, an exciting silent auction, and a lively “aprés-golf” dance.

Jodie with painting

trampoline office gets even more creative looking in support of local artists.

January 2007
"Home Towns" by Bob Hainstock

A new "artwork of the month" initiative at trampoline promises to get us all out to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia more and lets each team member select artwork for display in our reception area. As a corporate member of the AGNS, trampoline will rent different pieces by Nova Scotian artist through the Art Sales and Rental Society located just off the Gallery lobby.

This month's pick was chosen by our Senior Designer, Jodie Hansen

I was immediately drawn to the colour of this piece when I saw it for the first time. I looked at many other paintings, but kept glancing back at this one hanging across the room. From a distance the turquoise and sand colours have a very soothing and calming cast. Upon closer inspection, you can see the faint hints of small houses and buildings, almost as if in a golden haze. I grew up in a variety of small towns in Ontario most of my young life with each having its own personality and characters.

There’s nothing like going back home...

Duck Decoy Stamps

July 2006

On August 6, 2006, Canada Post will issue a set of four domestic rate (51 cent) stamps to honour the history and evolution of duck decoys in Canada.

During the past century, duck decoys have evolved from a working tool of the hunt to folk art sculptures prized by collectors.

"The decoys chosen for this stamp issue represent four different regional species and carving styles," says Danielle Trottier, Manager of Stamp Design and Production at Canada Post. "The red-breasted merganser represents the Maritimes; the barrow's golden eye, Quebec; the black duck, Ontario; and the mallard, the Prarie region. All are authentic working decoys, many showing the scars of their labours and years."

Designed by Oliver Hill and art directed by Dennis Page, the stamps combine the photography of Ted Coldwell and original painting by Pierre LeDuc to illustrate the decoys against an authentic backdrop.

Annual Report trampoline Annual Report

trampoline marks successful first year with the release of commemorative book.

October 2005

Wow. It's already been a year since trampoline bounced on the scene. The past twelve months have been incredibly exciting for our partners and the rest of the tramps in our office. Together, we've re-branded our company, celebrated a birth and a wedding, welcomed new faces and said goodbye to familiar ones. Throughout it all, we picked up more than our share of awards, laughed, cried and even had a tantrum or two.

We're positively thrilled about the work we've produced for clients that made the trip to trampoline from Page&Wood. We're also extremely excited about working with the new clients who joined the party this past year. The commemorative book, simply called 'one', is a marker of this past year.

Cunard Allan Stamp

As reported in Canada Post's Details magazine, October to December 2005.

October 2005

Nearly 2,500 stamp collectors made their views known in the 15th Annual Stamp Poll organized by Canadian Stamp News. Of the 34 stamps issued in 2004 the Cunard Allan series that trampoline designed made the top ten in two categories Favourite Canadian 2004 stamp issues and Most Relevant Canadian 2004 stamp issues. The trampoline design team of Dennis Page and Oliver Hill focused their design on authenticity and historical accuracy. "It feels very satisfying to score so highly with the collectors. We met many collectors at the official Cunard Allan launch here in Halifax and they are very passionate about their collections. And we feel that same passion about our design" says Dennis.

Tramps trampoline Birtheday

One year old and still hungry.

August 2005

What better way to spend the Friday afternoon before a long weekend than celebrating the completion of a very successful first year in business and thanking our hard-working team by letting everyone go home early. On July 29, we all shut down our computers at noon and held a mini AGM (over pizza and beer, of course) to go over the past year's successes and discuss our company and personal goals for the following year. All remarked on how much we had accomplished in our first year and how fast time flies when we're busy.

Ice Awards

trampoline one of the big winners at ICE Awards.

May 2005

Less than a year after forming, trampoline became one of the big stories of this year's ICE Awards. On Friday May 20th, 2005 Atlantic Canada's top advertising and design creative agencies were out in full force to celebrate excellence in their industry. The fourth annual ICE Awards were held at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium to a packed house of agency and marketing professionals. This year's ICE Awards featured a record number of over 400 individual entries from 30 plus agencies and design firms from all over Atlantic Canada.

Of the 18 gold ICE buckets handed out, trampoline won three, while also winning two silver buckets and two merit awards. A campaign for client FRED Salon/Café won four of the awards along with work for clients EastLink and Dalplex.

Not bad for a small creative boutique up against the 'big guys'. We are especially proud of winning the television campaign category with a merit for the EastLink Enthusiast campaign.

Feed Nova Scotia logo

Metro Food Bank Society ~ Nova Scotia becomes Feed Nova Scotia courtesy of trampoline.

May 2005

The Metro Food Bank Society ~ Nova Scotia's name was creating confusion among its clients and donors. Was it serving Metro only or all of Nova Scotia?

Since the organization opened its doors 21 years ago serving the Metro area, the need for its programs and services had increased every year. In fact it had evolved into the central collection and distribution organization for over 145 food banks and programs in the province. Each month, these food assistance programs help feed 40,000 people in Nova Scotia.

As part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to our community through pro bono work, trampoline decided to help solve this communication problem by undertaking a comprehensive brand re-name and identity program.

After research and internal presentations were complete, it was decided that the new name would simply be Feed Nova Scotia and the selected logo execution employed a fork image running across the word Feed.

Canadian Ranger Stamp

Canadian Ranger stamp design makes top 10 Canadian stamp list.

As reported in Canada Post's Details magazine, January to March 2005

Clearly, Canadian collectors have strong opinions about their stamps. Nearly 3,000 collectors voiced their opinions on the 59 stamps released in Canada during 2003 in Canadian Stamp News' 14th Annual Stamp Poll. Among their choices for the top ten Canadian stamps in 2003, was the Canadian Ranger stamp created by trampoline designers Oliver Hill and Dennis Page. By a wide margin, the least favourite stamp was the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation issue. Our team has designed several stamps for Canada Post. Learn more about the Canadian Ranger stamp and our other designs here.
